Wishing you a Happy Holiday from the 'Pretty' cast!

This weekend was a memorable Holiday get together for all of us here at the Cast of 'Pretty Hurts' and the offices of Dr Norman Leaf & Dr Leif Rogers.

Now, let me start with saying that December is the busiest month of the year for all of us.  So our weekend Holiday party was well deserved.  This is the time of the year where everyone wants to look beautiful.  Everyone wants to look perfect.   Everyone wants to look younger than the secretary at their husbands office.  I think you can see where I am heading with this.  I will tell you it is also the wackiest time of the year.

But then again , what would your Christmas be with out NUTS
.....  in your cookies.

Sending you and your family love from the beautiful Parker Hotel in Palm Springs

“Pretty Hurts” Wants To Inject You with Holiday Spirit. And Maybe Some Botox?

“Pretty Hurts” Wants To Inject You with Holiday Spirit. And Maybe Some Botox?

Note the pristine skin of that snowman. Coincidence? I think not.
You think Ebenezer Scrooge would have been a lot happier if he’d had flawless skin and butt implants? Who can say, right?
THAT said… Here’s a bit of yuletide cheer and a big HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the cast of the upcoming Logo series, Pretty Hurts which is prancing your way, syringe in hand, come February 2011!!! The show (which is described as a “comic reality series”) will follow Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Rand Rusher (with a name like that he better be a former Falcon video star, too) and his office-mates as they wackily beautify all of L.A.
And judging from this little clip, they’re into “Jingle Bells,” too. And I bet they have the shiniest, tautest, most sublimely fierce unwrinkled and perfectly waxed bells of anybody.

Expect more about this one after the New Year. Join the Pretty Hurts Facebook page if you want to really plump it up!

*** Wow look at us!  Bloggers are already starting to blog about us!  Yayyyyy.  I'll keep everyone updated as things pop up!

Happy Holidays from the cast of Pretty Hurts!

Happy Holidays from the cast of Pretty Hurts!

Wow!  We were shooting our promos several weeks ago.  Everyone was there to make it a fantastic day of shooting.  The Photographer was fantastic , Logo Execs were there and super supportive, hair, make-up, wardrobe ... fluffing us and such.  All of this is a 1st for most of us on the cast.  We usually focus on our patients and making them beautiful.  Today - others were making us beautiful!

So in the midst of a long day filled with hairspray, and jokes, and smoothies, we got wacky.  We are all shimmying about trying to figure out our place and someone (probably Rand) starts nodding their head.  From behind the cameras (yes cameras!) we hear "You guys look like bobbleheads" ... (insert log pause) ... " Lets try doing that"  Ha! So we coordinated our bobblehead silliness, and behold our Holiday card is born!

Our Promo!!

OMG!

Last Monday a friend sent me a facebook message saying "Congrats! Saw your commercial!" WHAT!!!! I didn't know it was out there? As you can tell by all the exclamation points .... I'm super excited!!!!!!

So it aired during The "A-List:Reunion" show. I, being the busy busy gal that I am during the holiday, promptly forgot to tape it it. Arggg! So all week I have been asking around and posting to see if anyone still has it on their DVR.

So Friday I went into my hair dresser Phil to give my red locks a little attention. I walk in and wait til it's my turn to pop into his seat. I've know Phil for years and we love to chat about everything that is going on in Beverly hills. The 1st thing out of his mouth is "I saw your commercial!" *Squeeeek* So we giggled and he told me all about it. I then realize "Do you still have it on your DVR?" And in pure Phil fashion ... He takes off his glasses and looks at me ... "I think i may ... let me go home tonight and look."

Needless to say - my hair looks fantastic and I texted Phil the minute I thought he was home from the salon. We made a date for Sunday. Phil, me and his giant TV.

Feast your eyes on this people!!!

*obviously I am using my handy dandy smart phone to tape this direct off his TV ... so excuse the glare and the low quality. I will post the real thing once I find it!

Hurray flowers from a special admirer!!

So excited and happy that the show debut to getting closer and closer! The office is packed for the holiday and as fun as ever.

So let me set the scene....  Beautiful Patient is in with Rand.  Beautiful Patients' Mother is waiting in the lobby with me.  Mom and I are chatting and having a good old time. Mom is the most darling, but still feisty, little old lady who reminds me of my Grandmother (minus the feisty).  Beautiful Patient comes out to me at the side desk.  I tell her her mom is here in the lobby waiting for her.  Beautiful patient giggles, leans into the lobby and says "What's up slut?" Without a beat Mom shoots back "What's up other slut?"   We all break out in rolls of laughter!!!   Love to my Ladies!!!!

LOGO GREENLIGHTS THREE ORIGINAL SERIES FOR 2011

Two Workplace Docu-Soaps Also Added To Slate
Including "Pretty Hurts" From Go Go Luckey Productions

NEW YORK, NY, December 6, 2010 – Logo, the entertainment network for gays and their families and friends, from MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), announced today three new original series that have been given the greenlight for the network's 2011 slate, including two workplace docu-soaps and "Be Good Johnny Weir," the series that explores the life of one of America's most outspoken and colorful sports figures, three-time U.S. National Figure Skating Champion and World Medalist Johnny Weir.  Logo has acquired the first season of the series and will produce new episodes for an exclusive second season.

In addition to "Be Good Johnny Weir," the network has greenlit "Pretty Hurts," from Go Go Luckey Productions, a comedic reality series that follows the staff and clients of a high-end Beverly Hills medical office that specializes in "liquid face lifts."  The other series is "Setup Squad," a workplace docu-soap from Leftfield Pictures ("Pawn Stars") focused on a Manhattan-based matchmaking service that pairs up professional "wing people" with those that are unlucky in love.

The slate pick-ups come on the heels of recent news of two key acquisitions for the network including "Nip/Tuck," which started airing on Logo this month and "Will & Grace," which will begin airing in 2013.

"Logo is in the business of creating fierce, original programming that gets everyone talking as we've demonstrated this year with our hit series 'RuPaul's Drag Race,' 'RuPaul's Drag U,' and 'The A-List: New York,' said Dave Mace, Senior Vice President of Programming, Logo.  "Johnny Weir's talent is as big as his irreverent personality.  'Pretty Hurts' would be a workplace sitcom – if it weren't actually real life in a Beverly Hills beauty destination.  And 'Setup Squad' will follow the hard-working angels who make the dating world a better place, whether you're gay or straight."

Details on greenlights follow:

"PRETTY HURTS" (10 Episodes – 30 Minutes) Premieres Feb 2011

"Pretty Hurts" is a comedic reality series starring Beverly Hills' lovable "injector to the stars" Rand Rusher.  Hollywood's high maintenance elites learn that "Pretty Hurts" when they come to Rand's office to get frozen, smoothed and plumped up with cosmetic injectibles – but the real funny stuff happens in between the needle pricks.

The staff is its own cast of fabulous LA eccentrics, headed up by Rand's ex, Curt, who manages the whole business – and the homes that he and Rand still share.  It's not always domestic bliss.  The rest of the staff juggles the ever shifting dynamics of Curt and Rand's relationship with the diva-ish demands of their over- the-top clientele.  Each episode follows at least one client's procedure -- and all the funny little dramas that really get under your skin when you're working with the ones you love.

Julie Auerbach and Tina Gazzerro from Go Go Luckey Entertainment executive produce.

All series are Executive Produced for Logo by Dave Mace and Christopher Willey.

I had the fantastic pleasure of being invited to one of the pre-opening parties for the new Supperclub here in LA. The evening was filled with naughty and eccentric circus noir acts. The hosts, bartenders and waitresses were all beyond hot. The food divine. As I am sure you will learn as you read my blog - the word fantastic comes up a lot.
Fantastic shoes + fantastic ideas + fantastic people = fantastic life.
So glad to be a part of it all!!
